BACK IN ACTION!
Hello and good day to ALL!
Thank you to all of you who sent me birthday cards, texts and left me phone messages for my birthday yesterday. I woke up a 50 year old and couldn’t find anything different? I guess haven’t aged much, which is cool. ;-D
I opened some lovely gifts from Vidya in the morning. She’s a master at finding me great books, audios and information relevant to my interests. She gave me a book about the shadow and two audio books about Richard Feynman’s work and life. Great stuff!
After a visit with students and friends in the morning, I headed out into my rock garden and spent the whole day playing with stones and getting a lovely sunburn on my back; lovely because it’s a great reminder that I’m home!
Rory arrived late in the afternoon from Toronto to stay with us for the CHEK Conference. My son, Paul Jr, came to wish me a happy birthday and spent the night as well. Hopefully, I’ll have some time to spend with him while he’s here for the conference.
Today, I’ll be putting my new lecture titled 50, Fit and Free! together. I’ve been meditating on what I’d like to share from my own unique life experience of again, as well as what I’ve learned about aging through my clinical practice working with people suffering from what is largely premature aging.
I’m excited to share my ideas and experiences in hopes that I may be able to help others enjoy vitality at any age. At 50, I can still run as fast and lift as much as I could when I was a young man so I feel I must have something legitimate to share in that regard.
I’ve also enjoyed growing and expanding my awareness and idea-set, allowing a much more inclusive experience of life. As I’ve aged and grown mentally, I’ve become much more capable of feeling the connections of life throughout the world as opposed to experiencing only my own paradigm.
This has helped me feel more empathetic and compassionate to people trapped in mind viruses that imposed limitations on them, often resulting in prolonged pain.
CHEK Level 3 is on here with Matthew Wallden at the helm so I’ve got a chance to visit some of my top students and share a little with them as I can. Matt is a fantastic teacher with a wide and deep level of clinical experience to share with our students so in absence of Suzi Nevell and I teaching, I’m happy to know they are being led very well. Thanks Matt!
I hope you all have a beautiful day today and look forward to seeing as many of you as I can at the CHEK Conference next week!
Seize the Day!
Love and chi,
