A SIMPLE BRAIN BALANCING EXERCISE FOR YOU

Good Day To You!

Friday morning, I began a day of coaching with Jade Johnson, Olympic Long Jumper. Many of you got to meet Jade at the recent CHEK Conference.

We spent the day working on ways she can balance her body and calm her mind. I introduced her to stonework as a means of active meditation as well as the zen slow walking method with a hike up in the hills behind my house. We will have a great visit together. I discovered that she is an amazing artist too! Jade’s always a fun experience! (I’ll have more pics of Jade’s first stack on Monday!)

A SIMPLE BRAIN BALANCING EXERCISE FOR YOU

Dr. Oliver taught me this very simple, yet highly effective exercise for balancing the left and right brain hemispheres.

If you can go for a walk in nature or somewhere where you can hear birds, it works best, as you see me doing in the picture above. If you can’t just use the same methods anywhere you can walk and it will work.

As you walk, concentrate on only listening to the birds (or sounds) through your left hear for a couple minutes. Then, concentrate on only listening to the sounds through your right ear. Repeat this process for 10-20 minutes or so and you are likely to experience a deep sense of relaxation and heightened sensory awareness.

This exercise is a great way to warm up for seeing clients, creating art, or improving your body-mind state such that your inner calm favors the use of your intuition.

Enjoy your day!

I’ll look forward to sharing the highlights of my time with Jade and my weekend with you on Monday.

Love and chi,
Paul Chek
