Primal Pattern® Movement Training Part 1 of 2

Happy Monday!

I hope you are all happy, and living fully.

Today in my blog I will share:
1. Primal Pattern® Movement Training Part 1 of 2
2. Show-N-Tell With Paul

So let’s get started!

Primal Pattern® Movement Training Part 1 of 2

Primal Pattern® movement training is a system of classifying movement for both assessment and exercise prescription I developed nearly three decades ago in 1988.

Since then, it has become quite popular. So popular, in fact, that few who use it actually know where the concept originated, much like the use of Swiss balls in the gym today.

In my vlog today, I give you some historical background on how and why I developed the system, and the many benefits that you can derive from understanding and using Primal Pattern® movements.

I show an amazing correlation between the Primal Pattern® movement system I developed, and the essential movements found in infant development.

I hope you enjoy learning about the Primal Pattern® movement system, and that you enjoy exploring it in your own life.

Below, I’ve listed some helpful resources that will offer you more explanation, and practical application training opportunities.

Resources:
1. Movement That Matters by Paul Chek (book)
2. How To Eat Move and Be Healthy! (book)
3. The C.H.E.K Foundations Program – low monthly membership with BIG savings
4. C.H.E.K Exercise Coach Advanced Training (live course)
5. C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 1 (five-day live course)

Show-N-Tell With Paul

A fantastic Mind Pump Media interview with C.H.E.K Professional Stefanie Obregozo

I recently had the joy of listening to the Mind Pump Media team interview with Stefanie Obregozo, who is a C.H.E.K Level 3 and HLC 2 Practitioner from San Francisco.

In her interview, Stefanie shares her journey into holistic health, her challenges with small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), her work with females who have hormonal challenges, the danger of chemical contraception and much more.

She’s a very grounded, experienced, fun C.H.E.K Professional to listen to, and may be just the C.H.E.K Professional for you! (See her contact details below.)

I hope you enjoy her amazing interview. By the way, there are a lot of great interviews offered by Mind Pump Media.

A short video lesson on “Poop!” from Stefanie Obregozo

We can learn A LOT about our internal, and even mental-emotional health by studying our poop! Yes, I did say, “poop!”
The photo above comes from my book, How To Eat, Move and Be Healthy!

I’m offering it to you here so you can see a bigger image of what Stefanie shows in her short, four-minute video, which is beautifully done, and great for people of all ages to watch.

Over the years, I’ve had many mothers tell me they made a poster of my “poopie” lineup and put it on the wall next to the toilet, at the request of their children.

They have also told me that their kids pay much closer attention to what they are eating and are fascinated to see the changes in their poop, particularly when they know they have eaten something Mom says isn’t ideal for them!

I loved this short video, and here is a link to Stefanie’s presentation titled Poop 101:

We Are In Love With Our Mana!

Angie and Mana have a membership to the San Diego Zoo now. Angie informs me that Mana really loves looking at the animals and, of course, seeing all the people too!

She got him this cool hat to protect him from the sun so he doesn’t end up bald like Daddy! Not that the sun caused that, but hopefully his new hat is magic too!

Here’s Mana hanging out by the water fountain in downtown Carlsbad while having a little visit with his Grandma. He LOVES his Grandma(s)!

He recently got to meet my mother for the first time, and it was lovely to see them together.

He gets a lot more time with Angie’s mother because she’s only a bit over an hour away, and she just loves her little Mana too.

Mana and Penny have an amazing, beautiful relationship. It has been wonderful for all of us to see Penny blossom through Mana’s presence.

Angie and I giggle a lot because Mana just loves to hang out with Penny, talk to her, and get his hands on all her electronic gadgets, such as her phone, tablet, computer and whatever else he can find in her purse or office.

She’s very patient with him, and teaches him a lot. So much, in fact, that you have to be very careful if he gets his hands on your phone because he may place a long distance call to Superman!

My little guy loves apples. You have to watch him though because he doesn’t have enough teeth to really break the apple down effectively, and loves to fill his mouth with LOADS of apple (and everything else he can find, from bugs, to pebbles, to plant parts…), and sometimes, starts choking on it. Not so much fun…

I was enjoying my apple then, all the sudden, I had repeated tugs on my pants. Down below me was a beautiful little guy pointing right at my apple. That’s fairly clear communication!

I picked him up and we shared the rest of my apple, and we both loved it.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my blog this week.

Next week, I’ll share part 2 of my Primal Pattern® series and help you better understand the whole neutral spine training concept.

Love and chi,
Paul Chek
