Tips on Erectile Dysfunction

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you are doing well and growing in happiness, purpose and passion each day.

I’ve been VERY busy lately finishing my new Holistic Coaching program; apparently there is confusion among CHEK HLC Practitioners that this is the same course they have taken, but this is a course focusing totally on coaching people.

My new Holistic Coaching program was created specifically to help CHEK Professionals, and anyone in the role of teacher, coach, leader, guide, mentor, therapist or physician could learn the essentials of effective coaching.

My model is unique in that it looks at the whole person, and includes a deep exploration of the anatomy of the psyche – the master of all choices.

I teach my students in this program, how to recognize what stage of life, and what stage of conscious development each client is in, and give them the specific tools to help people make smooth transitions so they can live a dream-affirmative life.

What I share is directly applicable to coaching people with eating disorders, addictions, developmental disorders, and helping them through life’s many transitions.

The new coaching program is also very unique in that the students are taken into, and through themselves so they can identify perceived limitations within themselves, and go through the very coaching/healing process they are offering their clients.

I’m a firm believer that you can’t coach a person to a higher level of awareness than you possess. My work has always been directed toward training masters, and not fast food education.

If you want to learn to master yourself and fully participate in your own life, and help others achieve their dreams efficiently, this is the course for you!

I’ll be teaching this 4 day workshop in two locations this year. The first will be in the UK, May 15-22, and the second will be here in San Diego, Sept 15-18.

In my blog today, I will share:

1. Tips On Erectile Dysfunction Pt. 1 of 2.
2. CHEK Advanced Training Program Completions
3. Show-N-Tell with Paul

Tips On Erectile Dysfunction Pt. 1 (of 2) Hormonal Pathways

Erectile dysfunction is generally thought of as a condition only affecting older men, but a new study shows just how many young men may also have ED.

shutterstock_170170235-300x200

The study, published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine, shows that one in four men at an outpatient clinic who sought help for erectile dysfunction (a condition where a man has a problem having or maintaining an erection) was actually under the age of 40. Plus, nearly half of those men under age 40 — 48.8 percent of them — had a severe case of the sexual condition, compared with 40 percent of men older than age 40.

In fact, it is because I’ve had an alarming number of young men between the ages of 18-24 ask me for help with erectile dysfunction in the past ten years that I thought I should address the issue holistically today.

EDBB
In my video blog today, I address the direct relationship between one’s management of diet and lifestyle factors and erectile dysfunction, particularly in cases where age shouldn’t be a factor in erectile dysfunction.

I address the correlation between the CHEK 6 Foundation Principles (nutrition, hydration, sleep, breathing, thinking and movement), and hormonal benefits.

In my haste to get the blogs filmed with my busy schedule, I left out one very important point. The autonomic nervous system controls the functions of the penis.

The sympathetic system (SNS) (fight/flight/freeze), which sends blood and resources from inside the body to the musculoskeletal system any time we are physically engaged in activities that elevate heart rate or breathing rate is responsible for triggering ejaculation.

erect and flacid penis

Once ejaculation occurs, if there isn’t enough strength or functional capacity in the parasympathetic system (PNS), which is responsible for creating erection and maintaining it, the show is over.

Therefore, anything that over-stimulates the SNS, or diminishes the health and performance of the PNS leads directly to erectile dysfunction!

Diet and lifestyle factors are BY FAR the biggest cause of SNS over-excitation and the relative inhibition of the PNS that produce erectile dysfunction at any age!

As you listen to me give this presentation, know that “any time I’m talking about stress factors, I am talking about what contributes to erectile dysfunction.

After I finish sharing an explanation of how diet and lifestyle factors correlate to erectile dysfunction (ED), I begin Part 2 of the series by looking at contributing factors from each of the 4 quadrants in which life unfolds so you can see the many other real factors that are rarely considered. Remember here, that anything that generates stress that can’t be effectively reconciled or managed such that you bring your ANS back into balance, will contribute to ED directly.

I hope you realize that medical drugs are not the way to address this problem.

You will be greatly rewarded by studying the suggested resources, and taking CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level 1!

Show-N-Tell with Paul

Angie, Penny and I have been having the greatest time ever with Mana. He is a source of joy for all of us.

I LOVE my little guy and look forward to seeing him and holding him every day when I come home from my office.

It’s been a very long time since I was excited to get home and see my little boy; Paul Chek Jr. is now 36. Mana is bringing me back in touch with the joy and love I had when Paul Jr. was born.

We are very excited for my mother, her husband Alex, and Paul Jr. to come meet Mana sometime soon.

Paul Jr. used to ask me, “Dad, can I have a brother or sister?” regularly as a little boy. He recently reminded me of that and shared that he’s really happy and excited to connect with his little brother now.

Paul loves kids, so I’m excited to see him and his little brother together. Such exciting times for me, Angie, Penny, and Angie’s family too.

Angie’s mother drives a long way every week or as often as she can to visit with Angie and see her grandson. There is so much love and joy from Grandma, it’s beautiful to behold, and reminds me of all the love I got from my Grandma(s).

I had a lovely, much day off at home this Sunday. I went out into the garden and rebuilt my tallest stack after recent winds blew it over; we’ve been getting lots of lovely rain here lately!

This is one of those “tricky stacks”…. sometimes things fit well and the stack easily goes up. Sometimes, it seems like the rocks are from different tribes and don’t want to be together.

TALLrockstack

I worked for hours on this tall stack (click the image to open it up), but it was a real meditation because the stones were just hard to fit together. I managed to get it up nice and high (standing on the top of an eight foot ladder).

By the time I got home from work yesterday, the creatures had found the weak spot and down she came! another opportunity to get back into my garden.

Vista Rock Garden

I can’t wait to try again, but I’ll have a talk with the Stone Buddhas and see if we can find a way to get them excited about being together again soon.

I hope you enjoy my blog and my video today!

Love and chi,
Paul Chek
