Homecoming! Temperature Determines Outcome

Happy Day!

I’m safe! I’m HOME! I’m Whole!

I arrived this morning in Los Angeles and was met by my lovely wife Penny! It was great to give her a hug! Then Troy Casey, The Certified Health Nut met me at the Airport bearing gifts with a huge sign welcoming me home! I was blown away – thanks Troy for all your love and dedication to waking people toward better health choices.

It’s lovely to be home with my rocks and garden, feet on the land that is my sanctuary.

Today I thought I would share another TAO-TE-zen with you: Temperature Determines Outcome

Fire is the sun
Dark, empty, cold is his lover
He consumes her too, and she he
Together they become One again

How much can you eat before your lover is gone?
Look around you
People in a hurry
Racing to and fro
Water saves the trees
Watch the way you breathe
Silence stills your flames

TAO-TE-zen practice is witnessing in relationships
Awareness is of flow
Temperature control determines when and where you go
Fire rises from your belly and activates your head, your thoughts
Water captures fire
There is always life along a river bed
Judgment is the fire that makes your water boil
Only you control these flames

It is you who burns the house down

Or dances in the rain

TAO-TE-zen practice is witnessing
Wisdom is the way you choose
Temperature control determines outcome
What will you gain?
What will you lose?
That is zen.

Let’s all practice witnessing and loving self and other in relationships so that we may contribute to the flow of life the best we possibly can, so that we can enjoy life, and so that we can rise above petty challenges and truly become wise, loving, healthy, conscious human beings.

This is the way.

That is zen.

A HO Great Spirit!

Love and chi,

Paul Chek
