My Last day in Tulum

Happy Tuesday!

I’m on my way home!! The vacation has been great, and time with Paul Jr was much needed and was beneficial for us both.

We had a lovely day on our last day in Tulum yesterday.

As I was driving home from town, I got to see the local flock of chickens, which is common all around this area.

This is my new friend and massage therapist, Mauricio. He’s from Peru, but resides here in Tulim.

I had a great time visiting with Mauricio and his girlfriend while here. They are both highly intelligent, well traveled, worldly people; the kind I love spending time with.

Mauricio is a massage therapist at the K Diamonte Resort so if you are ever in Tulum, he’s the man to see!

This is the three of us enjoying time together on my last day here.

This is a really cool sculpture of a native warrior that was on the grounds of the hotel. It really says a lot when you see it on person.

My trip here has been lovely!

I really recommend Tulum, Mexico for anyone wanting a beautiful combination of native history, great food, stunning beaches, LOTS of sun, beautiful people from every corner of the globe, and some good simple, relaxed living.

Paul Jr and I had fun taking road trips and exploring ancient ruins, trying new places to eat, hanging out with Misty Tripoli and her boyfriend Oliver, and meeting new and interesting people.

Paul Jr and I are prepping some food for travel, packing, and hitting the road for our two hour drive to the airport in Cancun.

I’m giving us plenty of time because we have to pass through as many as 20 police checkpoints an the road.

There is an abundance of police armed with pump action shotguns, machine guns, and about every other toy you’ve seen in the movies!

The only place I’ve ever seen this much of a public display of the potential for total control is Moscow, where you have to go through the equivalent of airport security to get into shopping malls…

The world is certainly an interesting place…

I will take the day off tomorrow to recover from traveling, but I’m looking forward to sharing more with you very soon!

Vidya will post another Tao-Te-zen sutra for your pleasure tomorrow!

Love and chi,
Paul Chek
