A Fun day on the Water

Happy Thursday!

Paul Jr and I had a great time yesterday. We hooked up with my friend Misty Tripoli who has a place here in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Missy’s boyfriend is a snorkel tour guide here and they offered to take us out today.

We had a great time looking at the coral reef life, colorful fish (I noticed they all seemed very happy!), and saw two large sea turtles; they were eating a dead swordfish.

After snorkeling, we went to a very good local restaurant. We had amazing ceviche (raw fish dish), fillet of grouper, seafood stew, salsa (that burns twice!), and corn chips. I had the leftovers for dinner!

Once we got back to Tulum, I headed to the local gym for a deadlifting session. I did a pyramid workout capped with 3 sets of 2 @405. I actually feel quite good in the heat with high intensity training.

After dinner, I drew with pastels for a while. I didn’t feel like using my mind, I just drew what the day felt like.

I have really been enjoying the local papayas and mangoes for desert, and about anytime I find one, its in my hands!

After tai- chi, I hit the sack. This morning, I’m off to continue my rock art and will get a massage again today; gotta love the body so the body can love me!

I’m grateful for the time I’ve had here, and am enjoying it until I head home.

Love and chi,

Paul Chek
