Women, Food & God

Good Day!

I bet some of you are surprised to see me post three in a row now! Cool ah! When I can, I do! I love to share as most of you already know.

I just wanted to take a moment to share some thoughts on Women, Food, And God! by Geneen Roth. This is an excellent audio-book program Vidya loaned to me to listen to (which is also available in print format).

Both Vidya and I were really surprised and pleased that Geneen Roth’s approach to issues of food addiction and mental-emotional self-management is totally in line with what we teach in our 1-2-3-4 For Overcoming Addiction, Obesity and Disease Program. Our 1-2-3-4 approach is significantly more in-depth, yet, Geneen Roth’s program is a great introduction to learning how to manage one’s self. She gives a lot of great examples and has truly lived through the experiences she teaches about. Her non-religious view of God also very much parallels our own, as does her perspective on mental self-management, which is essentially her version of Byron Katie’s work.

I highly recommend this program for anyone with an eating disorder, or who lives with or has someone with an eating disorder in their family or close circle of friends. The healing will begin just by hearing the truth of what essentially drives most such disorders; though people may listen and not act, this program will certainly bring people into the contemplative stage of change.

For those of us who can, I invite you to join Vidya and myself in Toronto next month, August 20-22 where we will be teaching our 1-2-3-4 For Overcoming Addiction, Obesity and Disease program. We are really excited to help everyone who attends find the place within that is the true source of healing!

Today, I invite you to join me in creating beauty within. Today, if anyone pesters me, challenges me in a disharmonious way, or if for some reason, God forbid, I don’t get my way, I will see any resistance as a gift of awareness. Once aware, I will remind myself that I have a choice to create beauty at the “I”, “WE”, and “ALL” levels of creation. Please bless me that I make the best choice for all. I hereby share my love and blessings that you too, make the best choice for all involved in your life today. If we all do this together for a while, it will be come a healing habit!

Love and chi,
Paul Chek
