The Meaning of Spirit Animals
Happy Monday everyone!
I really hope you’re staying smart, sane and healthy during these trying times!
You may remember a 90-minute video I posted on my YouTube channel late in 2017 about power animals and spirit guides, followed by a workshop Angie and I did in our offices at the CHEK Institute a couple of months later.
I haven’t talked much about power animals or spirit guides since that workshop on my blog/vlog, yet I know some of you really dig those kinds of spiritual connections and conversations as I do…
During a recent Q&A episode with Penny on my Living 4D With Paul Chek podcast, a listener asked me a really interesting question about spirit animals.
My dad passed away pretty suddenly (recently). My mother, who is half Native American, told me when her aunt died, a medicine woman contacted her about a ritual where you twisted tobacco in your hand, talked to the person who died and then buried (the tobacco). The idea was that three days later their spirits should visit you.
I tried that and nothing really happened. But I did notice three deer in the backyard on the third day and I’ve never seen deer around here before. It seems a little too strange to be a coincidence. I’d appreciate your thoughts on this, if it makes sense.
Based on my experience, the appearance of deer in this young man’s backyard made a lot of sense to me. You see, power animals are expressions of our psyche. They are so woven into our genes, thanks to evolution.
We as humans have such long, intimate connections and relationships with animals. Our general lack of fear of animals due to these connections is behind why the psyche communicates to us in these ways.
This week’s vlog is an excerpt from my Q&A episode about this question, and sharing my own encounters with spirit animals after Penny’s parents died (both from cancer) a year apart.
If you want to learn more about spirit animals and what they mean after watching my vlog and my YouTube video, I highly recommend reading Animal-Speak: The Spiritual and Magical Powers of Creatures Great and Small by Ted Andrews.
I’ll be back next week with a new video about my take on supplements!
See you soon!
Love and chi,
Paul
