The Chakra System: Transforming Pain and Bondage to Freedom Part 1

Happy Summer Tuesday to you all!

After nearly six months away from the blackboard, I’m back indoors for a SEVEN-PART series. Yeah, I know that for many of you that sounds like a long journey, but it really isn’t…

Remember what I’ve said to you often about “fast-food” education on my blog/vlog and my Living 4D with Paul Chek podcast? You’ll get none of that here.

I’m designing this series so that each part, except for this week’s blog/vlog, is a (relatively!) short lesson and really great opportunity for you to do some real process work and healing.

And, if you like this journey you’re about to take with me, when it’s done you can learn even more in my Holistic Lifestyle Coach (HLC) program or CHEK 4 Quadrant Coaching Mastery online Program.

Without further ado…

This seven-part series is based on the themes of the seven Chakras which are psychophysical realities — psyche meaning soul and physical meaning body.

It’s an easy way to look at the seven main themes in which our psyche operates, in relationship to the self, other, person, place or thing. For part 1, we’ll do a quick overview of the Chakra system, then dive deeper into the first Chakra.

The Root Chakra

Just about anyone from age 12 can take advantage of these lessons I’m sharing, but they are most applicable for people suffering from some kind of pain or feeling like they’re trapped or in some kind of bondage, be it in relationship with themselves, family members, coworkers and bosses, or struggling with addictions with drugs, sex, money, power, fame and attention… you name it!

Before we get started, here’s two suggestions.

1. As you’re watching this series, get a notepad and some writing tools. You’ll need them to take notes and begin to do the work it takes between sessions to engage yourself openly and honestly.

2. I have some book recommendations you’ll want to consider too. One is The Book of Chakra Healing by Liz Simpson is one that’s required reading for my HLC students at level 2 or above. Out of the 100 books I have in my library about this subject, it’s gorgeous, beautifully written and very authentic.

If you haven’t read my The Last 4 Doctors You’ll Ever Need, it’s about time and available as an ebook download. And, How to Eat, Move And Be Healthy! has been very recently updated to include my 4 Doctors principles and other key elements right in the front of the book.

The alchemical dictum

Let’s start this series with a reminder of the alchemical dictum As Above, So Below. What that means is we create first in our minds through our thoughts, beliefs and emotions. Whatever we can’t believe or conceive, we can manifest if we have enough intention, awareness and energy, then apply ourselves.

Think about all of the amazing things in the world just in space exploration, robotics and quantum physics that were thought to be mere science fiction not too long ago, and you’ll get my point.

If you can conceive, believe and focus on it, you have the ability to create amazing things. Creating what you want, or what I call your dream, is really what makes our lives really meaningful. This gives us the ability to become a conscious co-creator with the world and the universe.

Again, As Above, So Below.

But, if your body is out of balance below and you’re not taking care of yourself, this tension distorts your mind above. For example, if your diet is poor or you’re not getting nearly enough exercise or sleep, the below will stop you from accessing your full potential above because you’re using that energy to embrace what you don’t want.

Here’s the thing…

There’s a certain period where challenges with our body, mind and emotions can be very beneficial because these trials give us the resistance we need to grow.

Just like resistance is required to grow our muscles and strength, we also need it emotionally and mentally. All of these are forms of spiritual development.

To live to our greatest potential, we also need to have a dream. What can be your goal or objective? It can also be conscious awareness of what your legacy is, which is your life purpose. That process can take a while. I go into this much more deeply in the last of my recent five-part Living 4D series on Evolve Your Career.

The Root Chakra

Chakras are vortexes of energy that are stepped down from the highest vibrational energies into the physical vibration manifesting as tissues. One way to think of your body — made of matter — is that matter is spirit moving slowly enough that you can interact with it.

If you believe in God, then God would represent the absolute, which is infinitely fast. So, all potentials are manifest simultaneously at that level or there’s everything in no thing.

The Chakra System

Also, you can’t be conscious of everything and no thing at once, so the universe dreams you into existence. Paradoxically, we dream each other into existence to have this experience without which love could not exist. Really, it’s all just a love game…

The Root Chakra is the energy that comes out between your legs, vagina or testicles and rectum. It’s where the vortex of energies links you to the earth. It’s related to your L-5 lumbosacral joint and, generally, the bones of your legs and body.

Problems in those areas often indicate energy that’s blocked in the Root Chakra, which is disrupting physiological systems. The psychological themes associated with this Chakra are safety, security, tribal association and a need to belong.

What do you need to feel safe and secure?

From there, I talk about how you can build a greater sense of security and safety and building relationships that support this.

Your homework is to explore the issues of the Root Chakra or meditate on them. Put your consciousness where your body hurts anywhere from the lower lumbar vertebra down to your toes and throughout your bones.

The left side of the body relates to the feminine principle. Take a look at left-side injuries, then think about how well you are nurturing yourself or not. Do some deep thinking about the relationships with the women in your life, starting with your mother and working outward from the core of your family.

The right side of the body is the masculine or expressive energy and what the sex relationship means to males, starting with the father then progressively from there. Otfen, people with chronic right-side injuries usually are over-exercising, overworking or have problematic relationships with their fathers.

Since fathers are their models for males in the world, their way of fathering themselves will mirror those behaviors. The very same is true for the way people mother themselves, mirroring their relationships with their mothers.

All of that will be unconscious until you become aware, choose how to do a better job and find the zen path.

I hope you enjoy watching my blackboard series of vlogs on the Chakras, starting with the Root Chakra.

I cannot stress enough that if you want to get the most out of this series, please DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

See you soon!

Love and chi,

Paul
