The Fastest Way to Health Part 6

What’s the fastest way to health? Being honest with yourself. What a concept!

For the final part of my vlog series, I discuss integrating the 4 Doctors and share some of the same tips my clients and students receive in individual coaching sessions and advanced training programs with CHEK Instructors, Faculty Members and me.

I’ve divided this final session into seven parts that will help you start this process.

The Fastest Way to Health Part 6

Writing down your dreams

Many people have their dreams stuck in their heads, but that isn’t nearly as effective as writing them down. Remember, creation emerges in stages: Thoughts, spoken words (which puts out stronger vibrations) and deeds.

After writing your dreams down, say them out loud so you can embrace and share them with your friends, family and loved ones.

In fact, there’s a process by which the vibration stimulates and changes the cells of your body. For example, a study found that when Buddhist monks chant, their bodies experience a cleansing, harmonizing effect throughout their entire cerebral-spinal system by improving the quality and function of their cerebral-spinal fluids.

In other words, your own voice is working to heal you or create stress for you.

Summarizing 4 Doctors core values

The Fastest Way to Health Part 6

We’ve talked before about getting clear about what your overarching dream is, establishing what makes you happy, and what your values are for movement, eating and rest.

You can learn more about how to do this by reading my The Last 4 Doctors You’ll Ever Need ebook and, in a more expanded, comprehensive form, in PPS Success Mastery Program Lesson 1: Determining Your Legacy.

Once you’ve written your 4 Doctors values down, summarize them into simple key statements that can fit on something about the size of a postcard and make them legible.

Then, make multiple copies and place them every place you’re likely to go. If you’ve got your core values in front of you — even in the bathroom — state your core values out loud so they travel from your thoughts to your own words which inspires the deeds you do.

Put them anywhere you’ll need reminders about your dreams – the front door of your house or your car’s dashboard — and what’s not part of them.

Remember, repetition is the mother of skill provided that there’s skill or awareness and dream-affirmative choices involved in the repetition.

Engaging the change process: Reason, emotion, environment

If you want to learn more about the Change process, the CHEK 4 Quadrant Coaching Mastery program goes into that very comprehensively. I also recommend a beautiful little book, Switch: How to Change Things When Change is Hard, by Chip and Dan Heath.

To implement change, you must have a strong sense of reason or understand why you’re engaging in this process. If your rational and ego minds are not convinced and can’t see the logic of it, you won’t commit to change.

Also, you need to be clear about what your emotional needs are. For example, if you find that you really need sweet foods or certain things that give you comfort because there’s an emotional attachment, be conscious of healthier foods you could replace them with that give you the very same joy but not be so detrimental to your body, mind, emotions or plan.

By taking healthy steps in the right direction each day, you won’t have to deal with a lot of guilt or shame.

Then, be very conscious of your environment. If you’ve got foods, treats, alcoholic beverages or whatever else is part of the challenge that got you in trouble in the first place or isn’t serving you now, it’s very important to remove those things from your house or environment.

To the degree you need something else, find healthier alternatives. For example, if you smoke cigarettes, it’s a huge step to move up to a vaporizer and some organic tobacco or high-quality, non-toxic whole leaf tobacco. Then, you vaporize and enjoy it, and it’s only a fraction of stress on your body and is non-toxic too.

Consider putting things in your environment that are more dream-affirmative so you don’t have to keep making excuses and killing your dreams.

Using the CHEK 1-4-100 formula

Fastest Way to Health Part 6

This formula is very important and useful based on the countless people I’ve worked with who had serious addictions to drugs, sex and even exercise and food.

If you change yourself 1 percent on any one or all four of the 4 Doctors each day for 100 days, you’ll be a 100 percent changed person. However, this process may take several 100 percent cycles because if you change one Doctor 1 percent a day, you still have three other Doctors to master.

My 1-4-100 Formula is based on CANI (Constant And Never-ending Improvement), a principle I learned from Tony Robbins years ago when I was working with him as a therapist and going to his seminars.

Measuring 1 percent improvement is a subjective thing. Let’s say you have an exercise goal, and you did 32 pushups last time, today you’ll try for 33. If you can do a 10K run in 40 minutes today, try to do it 15 seconds faster later in the week.

If you’re working at progressive improvement and being honest with yourself, doing a little bit each day is a step in the right direction. Remember, the tortoise outruns the hare because he’s consistent.

Practicing like attracts like

It’s important to find people who are willing, inspiring and have things in harmony to go with you on this journey. So, if you’re a mountain bike racer, swimmer or entrepreneur, there’s always people around you who share in those goals, dreams and objectives and would love to know how you’re doing it.

Go to the CHEK Institute’s Facebook page and you’ll find lots of people who are on this same dream-affirmative path too. They may have some answers to the challenges you’re facing or know where to find things, like good food or organic alcoholic beverages.

Inspiring others: Everyone is watching

All of us are further down the path in some ways than others are. I’ve had many students in CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach (HLC) 1 and 2 courses who said they were afraid to share with others because they were still overweight.

One time, I recall asking a student how much weight he had lost, he said 90 pounds between taking HLC 1 and 2. I responded by reminding him, “How many people in the world weigh more than you do? That’s why you’re an inspiration to those people.”

Remember that everyone is watching us any time we act in accordance with our dreams and core values while being honest with ourselves. That’s exactly what we’re showing to others and inspiring them to do.

I believe the greatest teacher is the silent teacher and the greatest lover is the silent lover. This means when everyone is watching, you don’t have to say a word. They watch what you’re buying in the grocery store. They watch how you’re exercising and loving your family.

Realize that you’re leading people by example, even if you don’t think you’re that far along.

Continuing your learning

The Fastest Way to Health Part 6

During this series, I’ve often said that my CHEK HLC Level One online course takes these concepts I’ve been sharing with you from the 4 Doctors ebook and How to Eat, Move and Be Healthy! and breaks them even more into a series of lessons.

Consider the online mentor option which allows you to work with one of our highly skilled HLC instructors who will take you through segments of the program, answer your questions and guide you with sound feedback.

For those of you who want to be proficient in the science and practical applications of exercise, the CHEK Exercise Coach program is the only holistic training program in the world and worthy of your consideration too.

My Exercise Coach program integrates all of these concepts and shows you how to use the science of exercise to correct your body’s balance to improve posture, activate stabilizer systems and design exercise programs scientifically so you get the results you want.

Take some time to absorb the information I’ve shared throughout my Fastest Way to Health series. If you take the steps I’ve outlined in my series, focus on dream-affirmative goals and stay honest with yourself, you’ll be healthier, happier and attract a lot of new attention from friends and family members wanting to know how you did it too.

To that end, if you like what you’ve learned here, please share it with people you care about. Nothing would make me happier.

I look forward to sharing more with you soon!

Love and chi,

Paul
