The Multi-directional Lunge Exercise

Happy Monday!

I hope you are all enjoying the balancing act we call “life.” It is the undulations that provide the living pulse.

I’ve been very busy getting ready to go to Can Fit Pro in Toronto (I’m flying there today, possibly as you are reading this).

I’ll be offering a lovely encapsulation of my rationale and methodology for “Primal Pattern Eating” (which is my approach to eating for your unique individual needs) as a one-day pre-conference workshop.

I will be offering two other workshops, and two lectures as well.

The longest lecture will be “How To Eat, Move and Be Healthy! – A Spiritual Perspective,” which is a nice three-hour summary of a few of the core tenants of what I teach in the upcoming CHEK 4-Quadrant Coaching Mastery workshop (which includes access to the much more comprehensive on-line version of the training).

You can learn more about the details of each of my workshops and lectures by clicking https://www.worldfitnessexpo.com/toronto

In my blog today, I will share:

1. The Multi-directional Lunge Exercise
2. Identifying Your Archetype
3. So You Want to Live to 100!
4. Show-N-Tell with Paul

The Multi-directional Lunge Exercise

Today, I offer instruction for the Multi-Directional Lunge exercise.

Jungle-Jane-Multidirectiona
This exercise can be used in therapy as a means of developing functional stability at body weight intensities, and can be progressed all the way up into the strength and power zones for athletes with sufficient development.

LungePrimal

I developed this exercise many years ago because I had many hockey players, soccer players, football players, tennis players and others with chronic groin injuries.

They all found this exercise, when coupled with the essential diet and lifestyle information I share in my book, How To Eat, Move and Be Healthy! and HLC 1 on-line training very helpful, and I hope you do too!

Identifying your Archetype

Identifying Your Archetype is a term that is synonymous with identifying your dream at this time in your life.

In this short, but potent article, I give you a synthetic encapsulation of what an archetype is, how they function in your life, and even share the kinds of problems that can occur if an individual with an activated archetype isn’t careful.

I hope you enjoy this short article:

So You Want to Live to 100!

So You Want To Live To Be 100…Here’s How

Vidya forwarded me this video clip interview with a man 101 years of age. I found him and what he shared very inspiring!

Have a look at this short video interview by the Global Toronto News with Leo Goodman, a 101 year-old wise, vital man here:

Show-N-Tell with Paul

As I shared above, I’ve been flat out getting ready for Can Fit Pro in Toronto, so I haven’t had as much free time to paint, or do the other things I like to share here.

But, I did get out and added a few rock stacks to my tai chi circle. That was great fun and fabulous exercise!

What I have enjoyed and can share with you today is the joy of parenting our son, Mana, who is five and a half months old now.

Penny is a pilot, so Angie thought she’d dress Mana up in a pilot’s uniform and do a little photo shoot to surprise Penny.

Pilot Mana

Angie loves to do photo shoots with Mana, and he really loves performing for the camera; just from the Facebook posts, Angie was already contacted by a children’s clothing company to see if he could model for them!

Unfortunately, they were in in Georgia and we don’t want to expose Mana to any more jet travel than we have to.

Mana has already made a long trip to the UK with us, and another to NYC so Angie could teach HLC 2 in his first four months of life.

Eleiko has been an equipment sponsor for the C.H.E.K Institute for many years, and we’ve run many of our Advanced Training programs, workshops and lectures out of the Eleiko Sports Center, in Hammstad, Sweden over the years.

They generously sponsored me and the Institute with the kettlebells for the new kettlebell program we are currently developing in concert with Mike Salemi, so we thought we’d show them that “they are getting good use.”Mana KB 1

Angie and I had a lot of fun with this photo shoot, and Eleiko really enjoyed seeing them too.

Mana KB 2

I sent some of the photos to Mike Salemi and let him know “his competition is now in training, so he should stay in great shape…” He got a chuckle out of that.

My student, Kim Nelli (Conscious Pregnancy Retreats) and her partner David, just sent this painting that David created to us expressing Dolphin Love!

Kim and David recently had Pi, their son, who is just about a week younger than Mana. Our CHEK Tribe is growing!

We Love it! Thank you David and Kim!

I hope you enjoyed my blog today.

I’ll look forward to sharing some highlights from my trip to Toronto with you next week.

Love and chi,
