A PERFECT TORONTO DAY!

Happy Friday!

I hope you are as excited for your weekend as I am.

Today I begin my PPS Success Mastery (PPS) Program Lesson 1. How To Find and Live Your Legacy. Vidya and I are looking forward to joining them in the exercises.

Today, after a lazy morning and a good sleep in, Rory and I went to spend some time visiting and training with Matt Nichol.

Matt and Rory have both been friends of mine for a long time and they are both very accomplished in their fields.

Matt trains a wide variety of athletes, including a significant pack of very elite, and professional athletes. He is also the creator of Biosteel, his own drink for supporting athletic performance.

I was sharing my techniques for using the full breath as a means of activating the axial stabilizer system.

Here I’m letting Matt feel how I activate the intrinsic stabilizers of my cervical spine in the segments where my spine was once badly injured during a lifting stunt.

By using my diaphragm with directional intention, I can activate specific fibers in the spinal stabilizer system due to the primal, intimate correlation between breath and movement.

In the photo above, I’m explaining my rationale for the use of the Single Arm Cross Body Row as an exercise supportive of deadlift conditioning.

After spending time with Matt, his great assistants, and a few of his athletes, we headed to lunch. We went to Sato’s famous sushi restaurant in Yorkville. As always, Sato was entertaining and the sushi was fantastic!

Rory and I did tai-chi in the rain across the street in the park next to Lake Ontario. It was a tremendously beautiful experience. The chi field was incredible. It was easy to merge with Gaia and feel the peace below the buzz above.

We then headed in for a lovely toning session with Vidya in the steam bath. That was excellent. I feel so beautifully integrated after a good toning session and the acoustics in the steam rooms are usually very supportive to vibrational healing.

After a good sweat and tone in the steam room, Rory and I dried out in the dry sauna.

I finished with a long cold (Toronto Cold!) shower.

Vidya made us a fantastic dinner of mixed cooked vegetables, rainbow trout, quinoa and umeboshi plums – yum! I enjoyed a few raw coconut macaroons.

I finished my day by writing this blog to share it with you.

I will share our experiences of the weekend in class together with you on Monday.

Love and chi,
Paul Chek
