A GREAT WEEKEND! And, EDUCATION OR ENTERTAINMENT?

I hope you all had a restful, playful weekend.

I was quite busy this weekend with lecture preparations, video productions and the likes!

Though I was busy, I did manage to enjoy myself. I worked Saturday and came in for half the day Sunday but enjoyed time in the garden, art, and good food along the way.

We fasted throughout the day on Friday and used a medicinal tea that I created from scratch to help balance and clean the body.

After a day of letting my body catch up on cleanup work, it was lovely to have some of Vidya’s great food. It was so beautiful, I had to take a photo of it to share with you.

Vidya made a beautiful mixed salad with a nice spicy dressing to kick off our meal. Then we had a awesome chicken soup that Vidya and Penny made.

Penny cooked the whole chicken carcass for a couple days at low heat. Then Vidya prepared a variety of vegetables and spices to round it out. It was like being in heaven when enjoying it!

Here you can see Rory enjoying the beautiful weather and wildlife in my front yard.

We enjoyed some rest time just relaxing and napping for a while in the late afternoon and sunset period.

Here you can see a couple of the art pieces Vidya and I created this weekend.

We sit them outside next to us when we relax in the yard so we can feel the energy and information carried in the art.

When we create art for our own self-exploration and healing, we typically leave a significant number of messages for ourselves subconsciously.

Once you get relaxed enough, you can usually begin to see, feel and know the hidden messages intuitively.

Sometimes, it takes weeks, months, or years before the messages are all available to you depending on your capability to be open at any given time.

This is a better shot of my drawing that I took with the flash in the evening inside the house.

I wanted to use the flash to bring out the silver, which is harder to see when in the brighter light outside unless you get just the right angle.

EDUCATION OR ENTERTAINMENT?

C.H.E.K Practitioner, Cory Jung often sends me useful, informative video clips to look at, which often end up being good blog material. This is one such clip.

This clip shows a girl graduating and openly expressing her deep concerns with our failing educational systems in the US.

If you are a parent, this is a very important video to watch.

I know if I were to father another child, I’d either have my child schooled at a Steiner school, or I’d organize a good home-schooling tutor I could work with to create an optimal, practical education agenda.

RUMI AND THE DIVINE WITNESS

One who sees right,
How did you see the right eye?
Where is the eye that sees?

What has that fate-less drop ever seen?
The seeing eye is full of the peril of loyalties.

The one who spent money for Tutya (eye salve)
Cannot see well.
The eye is the one
That appreciates the worth of Tutya.

The eye of the one who is beyond day and night
Is waiting and watching you, day and night.

Eyes will keep moving like particles
On the light of your face that resembles the sun.

Without you, two eyes were soul’s enemy for us
Now, they’ve become soul for us because of you.

O ones whose eyes are scattered like their hearts,
Your eyes are, in fact, outside your hearts.

Every eye is a separate light from Him.
The One who sees is different than our eyes.

When eyes see God, it seems
That God is the One who sees.

When the eye of the mountain looks at God,
An eye appears on every stone.

COMMENTARY:
As is so common with Rumi and other enlightened sages, he speaks in symbolism and the message is often between the lines.

To aid those of you who’d like to have another viewpoint, I’ll now share a brief summary of what I feel Rumi is sharing.

One who sees right,
How did you see the right eye?
Where is the eye that sees?

What has that fatless drop ever seen?
The seeing eye is full of the peril of loyalties.

PC: Rumi is informing you that it isn’t actually your physical eyes that are “seeing”.

The one who spent money for Tutya (eye salve)
Cannot see well.
The eye is the one

That appreciates the worth of Tutya.

PC: The soul appreciates any attempt to improve vision.

Anything you do that actually improves awareness is a step toward enlightenment.

The eye of the one who is beyond day and night
Is waiting and watching you, day and night.

PC: Divine Consciousness is the light, life and vision of all within and outside you.

Eyes will keep moving like particles
On the light of your face that resembles the sun.

Without you, two eyes were soul’s enemy for us
Now, they’ve become soul for us because of you.

PC: Rumi is informing us that without God, higher principles and Love, two eyes have no common purpose, function or direction.

Therefore, all looking is outward and only enhances the sense of separation.

With God’s presence in and as vision within you, your eyes are the eyes of your soul, which is God within you.

O ones whose eyes are scattered like their hearts,
Your eyes are, in fact, outside your hearts.

Every eye is a separate light from Him.
The One who sees is different than our eyes.

PC: Rumi is reiterating the fact that regardless of what you see with your eyes, All is seen through the Divine Eye.

When eyes see God, it seems
That God is the One who sees.

When the eye of the mountain looks at God,
An eye appears on every stone.

PC: Rumi is informing us that to the one who’s achieved Soul-Union, everything is One.

Everything is alive. Everything is endowed with The Eye of Divine Consciousness.

One who understands what God is, sees God everywhere, in everything, and everyone!
