Q&A with Matthew Wallden

In today’s vlog, I took the opportunity to answer some questions from the CHEK community with Matthew Wallden. If you read/watched my blog on Oct. 5, you’ll be familiar with Matt, who is a CHEK Faculty Member from the UK, has an advanced degree in osteopathic medicine and writes for the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies, as well as being an all-around knowledgeable person!

Matt is over here in the US at the moment to help me teach C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 4 (more on that later!) and we went live on Facebook for this Q&A. Here are the questions we talked about:

From Danny Alexander:

What is the best way to approach curing chronic urticaria/angioedema? Do you start at the gut?

From Marcos Anaya:

I’d like to know, in your opinion, what is the best way to go into physical training when you haven’t done anything strength-wise in a year?

From Zach Cline:

When it comes to NMT/NST and structural leg length inequalities, have you found ways of correcting this without shoe lifts or for FiveFinger wearers?

From Jack Crumley:

Do you find walking in Vibrams everywhere to be appropriate or comfortable, particularly on predictable solid surfaces? With the stabilizer muscles not being called upon, are flat hard surfaces hurting us barefoot?

Do you have questions for me for future Q&A sessions? Let me know, either here or on Facebook. In the meantime, enjoy this week’s vlog.

Love and chi,

Paul
